About me

Introduction

Hey! I'm Rodo, sometimes called Rodey. I'm an ordinary guy from Mexico, born in the 2000's, who likes visual arts, music, storytelling, computers and programming. Kinda introvert and extrovert depending on the situation (I think that's called ambivert). I'm currently studying Software Engineering and learning related thingies in the meantime.

I dedicate most of my time, besides playing some games like GTA III, PES 6, Minecraft or Cities Skylines, to drawing, programming and configuring computer stuff. Yeah, nerd stuff.

What I do

The main thing I do in the interwebs is drawing and playing some videogames with some friends. Besides of that, I do programming, writing, listening to music and studying.

I started doodling since I was a kid, I could even say when I was a toddler. But I didn't take it seriously until when I was in junior high and started improving in high school. I began programming in the late high and storytelling around 2022.

Another thing that I am into is languages, even though I only know Spanish and English, I'm interested in the Russian and the Asian languages, like Japanese and Chinese (mostly Cantonese); and I have a pending conlang project for some worldbuilding thing I'm planning.

Likes and Interests

As I said, I like computers and arts. Currently, on the beep boop side, I'm into Linux (for desktop and servers), C++, Java and Python programming languages; web development and tinkering with old hardware and software, and some old operating systems like Windows 98, XP or even old UNIX and Mac OS X.

I'm interested in how languages work and how I can make my own one (conlang) that is natural enough to be learnt and spoken by anyone. I'm also interested in storytelling and worldbuilding, in how can I describe a landscape, a city, various characters that behave depending on their environments, c'mon, a world that feels alive.

Furry stuff

As you might have guessed, I'm a furry. I got interested on the community during the late 2010's by some youtubers in the era (which I don't remember anymore) and, well, I always have watched related things since I was a child. I could tell the story related on what was the last straw, but I will in a blog post.

My fursona, Rodo Yamazaki is a rabbit (my friends are currently making me think to change the species to a hare), that I created around 2018, and started to write his story around 2021. Summarizing a little bit, he actually has no defined gender, has firebending powers which, at the same time, shapeshift him into a female, and other stuff, but I'm gonna detail on him here
